New Businesses in Oberlin

One of the most commonly asked questions we get from community members and potential residents is what kind of retail we will have on the first floor.

To date we have a really interesting array of possible retail and office tenants. They include a coffee shop and jazz cafe, an indian restaurant, a bike shop, a green building supply store, an art gallery, a national organization associated with the arts and a cheese and bread shop. We still have a few spaces left and are looking for more exciting tenants so if you have an idea of who would be successful in Oberlin or want to take the plunge and open up a business yourself, feel free to contact us. We are committed to giving local and family owned businesses first priority and finding businesses that will keep money locally and attract visitors to Oberlin.

It is our hope to make a formal announcement on the first official retail tenants sometime over the next couple of months once official leases are signed.

We expect to have the retail spaces available for tenant improvements by mid November and open by March of 2010.
