Over the last few months Sustainable Community Associates has been fortunate to pick up awards recognizing the positive impact the East College Street project has had on the community and region.

In November The East College Street Project was named the most beautiful new building in Lorain County. You can read more about the award here

And just last week we found out we also have been recognized by the Cleveland Engineering Society as their project of the year for Northeast Ohio. You can read more about this distinction on their website

All of these recognitions are a tribute to the excellent team of design and construction professionals who have devoted their time to ensuring this project has a transformative effect on the community.

This was a special occasion for us. We have had a long standing relationship with the Oberlin Alumni Association that goes back to when this project began in 2002. So for them to finally get suitable office space and to have it be in our development was extra rewarding for all participants.

We’ve been featured into two recent publications

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) recently featured a story about us on their blog Switchboard. We were really excited to be featured by an organization which does such important advocacy work all over the country

We also had a nice write-up in the Builders Exchange which provides good background on the project and some of its partners.
