Leasing Specialist

Our leasing specialist will lead by building relationships with prospective residents and ensure their successful transition to new homes with SCA. SCA is eager to hire a leasing specialist who will be responsible for guiding potential community members through the leasing process from inquiry to application. You will lead fostering individual relationships and managing automated CRM systems. With this in mind, you must be a superb communicator across a variety of written and in-person contexts and must be capable of connecting with a diverse range of constituents. Ultimately, you are the lead ambassador for our communities and neighborhoods
The Role
As the Leasing Specialist, you will be expected to gain a thorough understanding of the SCA’s diverse portfolio of historic buildings and new construction and be ready to provide personalized recommendations for prospective residents. You must thrive on timely communications and proactive approaches to generating new SCA clients. In addition to supporting our leasing efforts, you will collaborate with other staff members to create and implement relevant marketing strategies that align with our mission and goals.
Specific Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Connect with inquiries via HubSpot, phone, email, or social media channels established by SCA
- Catalog inquiries in HubSpot, manage contact information, and update records with accurate notes
- Provide in-person and virtual tours to prospective residents
- Maintain open communications with Operations and Ownership to ensure applications move forward smoothly
- Collect and share competitor data and market research
- Develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy to maximize growth and retain residents
Additional duties may be assigned based on prior experience or interests and in response to the evolving needs of the team. Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM is preferred, but not required.
Salary & Benefits
This position is a full time position, but our Leasing Associate has flexibility to set their schedules in response to tours, building openings, and other events. During our busiest season, some hours of weekend work may be necessary. Unlike many leasing jobs, we do not compensate based on commission. Instead, we provide a base salary, ranging from $48,000-$55,000- based on qualifications. Additional benefits include health care, PTO and a matching retirement program. Should you desire, you will have the opportunity to live at a discounted rate at one of SCA’s properties. We also believe in cultivating a cross-functional team and are supportive of employee needs, goals, and professional development. We have successfully mentored those in this position so that they can continue to advance within the larger Community Development ecosystem in Northeast Ohio.
