Lunar New Year: The Year Of The Dragon

The Lunar New Year or Spring Festival is commonly referred to as Chinese New Year, Tết in Vietnamese, Seollal (설날) in Korean, Losar ལོ་གསར in Tibet, and Tsagaan Sar in Mongolian. It begins on February 10, 2024. Families begin preparing weeks before, and celebrations last for two weeks until the Lantern Festival.
According to the zodiac calendar, this year will begin the Year of the Wood Dragon, which is known for growth, power, and abundance. Traditions vary across geography and religion, but you can read on for a few ways to celebrate in AsiaTown by clicking here!
