Oberlin
The East College Street project was an $18 million new infill development in downtown Oberlin. It features 24 for-sale condos, nine affordable housing rental units, an underground parking garage, the Richard Baron Art Gallery, and 20,000 square feet of independent retail and office space. The project was part of the LEED Gold Neighborhood Development pilot program.

Results
East College Street broke ground in 2009 and has been fully occupied since opening in 2011. Sustainable Community Associates received Oberlin’s 2017 Community Service award for launching the city's first major downtown development in decades.

Story
More important than any fact or figure, the project was a labor of love and a team effort. The steadfast support of Oberlin alumni and residents kept SCA resolute, irascible, and inspired, and helped them navigate a multitude of challenges to bring a shared vision into reality.
