SCA is proud that so many medical residents from all over the world choose to live in our apartments.
We are a small development group based in Cleveland, Ohio that specializes in high-quality neighborhood-centered developments that enhance the communities and city we love.
Our focus is on being a resource for our residents and making Cleveland a soft place to land. Each year we have tons of people who join our communities, coming from outside of Ohio and quite often from out of the country. Many have never been to Cleveland before, and most are here to work for the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals or Metro Health.

The Tappan
As a resident physician at one of the local hospitals, I have been able to make the Tappan my oasis-at-home when returning from long days at work. The windows are huge - and the sunsets are gorgeous. When the weather is nice, the roof is also the perfect escape with a great view of downtown. On the first floor is a bakery (Leavend) that has some of the best baked goods in the city! My boyfriend and I are also always surprised with how much food we are able to get for seemingly so little money. And any time I have a need, the SCA management team has been so incredibly responsive and proactive with any concern.

Big fan of this building! I moved here because I teach in Cleveland and wanted to live in Cleveland, not the suburbs. The building is great; brand new with lots of amenities like a gym and a bakery on the first floor. The owners hosted a "Giving Tree" this holiday season for kids living in the Merrick House. I was so moved; knowing I live in a place were people care about others. The community has hosted a number of socially distanced happy hours (grab and go) and a rooftop yoga session. I'm totally looking forward to the day when Covid doesn't rule the social interactions.

As someone who is considered a “transplant” I was very unsure of where I would be living in Cleveland. Chris was able to help me find the perfect apartment and he even gave me a tour of the building before it opened. The day of move-in Joe was able to meet with me and give me a tour of the building. Everyone on the management team has been so nice to work with and very responsive! The building itself is gorgeous with a gym and a sky lounge included, as well as an indoor heated parking garage at a responsible price to protect your vehicle from the Cleveland winters. I can’t recommend The Lincoln enough, it has been a wonderful experience to live in such a great community!

I love this place!!! I have renewed my lease for a second year. Last March, moving from California was very stressful for me, but this company went above and beyond to make my move-in stress-free. Having a big American Bulldog makes it tough to rent, but they have no breed restrictions and are dog-friendly. The manager, Joe, is always on the ball, and the maintenance guys are excellent. The owners have multiple locations around the area and are thoughtful and civic-minded. They are involved in critical social programs, which means a lot to me; it's one of many reasons I renewed my lease. Please don't doubt staying here or any of their other properties; the units move fast, which should tell you everything you need to know about this gem of a place.

- Meet Laura and Vanessa, fellow residents and friends at The Lincoln.
Laura came from Cleveland to New York for medical school and now her residency in dermatology, and Vanessa is a dual MD/PhD Student from Florida.
They were originally looking for a place to live together, but ended up each getting their own studio space.

They were some of the to move into The Lincoln and have great advice for living in Tremont with a dog!

- Jonathan and Amanda are a brother sister duo both living with SCA in different buildings.
When Jonathan started his surgery residency and moved into The Lincoln in 2022, Amanda kept her eyes open for a space in an SCA building and eventually landed at Wagner Awning.

The Tappan
Living at The Tappan was an amazing experience due to the management. If I didn’t have to move, I definitely would’ve stayed longer. Joe (landlord) and Caitlin (leasing manager) made living here incredibly easy. They answered any questions in a timely manner and were very accommodating. Another big positive is that the management is honest, there are no surprises. Now for the apartment itself, it’s brand new which is always nice. The electric bill is super cheap because they use a very energy efficient system. They are extremely pet friendly and even have a free pet washing station. Also, the building is connected to the Leavened bakery which is convenient. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone.

I have really enjoyed living here! Affordable in comparison to similar apartments in the area, the management team is responsive (within a few hours of submitting a ticket), safe area, lots of great small businesses nearby and a quick walk to Lincoln Park and the Tremont Towpath. All the restaurants Tremont and Ohio City are a walk or quick drive!

Fairmont Creamery
My husband and I have lived at the Creamery for just a few months now, but already look forward to staying here in the long run. It's a beautifully repurposed building that combines historic charm with modern amenities. We love our large warehouse windows that provide tons of natural light, open floorplan with amazing closet space, and the bonus of an in-unit washer/dryer. The views from the rooftop deck are absolutely stunning, and it's a great communal space to enjoy throughout the warmer seasons. Having underground garage parking is a great convenience as well. However, what makes this place feel like home is the people-Josh, Joe, Heather, and the entire SCA team always stay on top of things and keep residents in the loop while fostering a sense of community. The maintenance issues we've had are few and far between but are always responded to quickly. All of them truly make living here an absolute breeze. If you're lucky enough to find an opening at the Creamery, don't hesitate to make it your new home!

The Tappan is an absolutely incredible apartment complex to live in. From the very beginning the management went above and beyond to be as helpful as they possibly could. I moved in from out of state and they were incredibly accommodating, video chatting to show me the apartments, storing some of my things before I was able to move in, having movers scheduled the day I moved in, etc. Moving in was super easy and living there has been amazing. It is a beautiful property with lovely amenities and so reasonably priced. I cannot say enough great things about The Tappan. Josh has been especially helpful throughout my entire stay. The neighborhood is also incredible. I have loved living in Tremont so much that I decided to stay long term and recently bought a house here-otherwise I would never leave The Tappan! Highly, highly recommend!
