While working on a project at Mueller Lofts in AsiaTown, our tenant experience coordinator Heather spent some time visiting the local neighborhood groceries. See what she discovered along the way—and get inspired for your own culinary explorations in one of Cleveland's most diverse and vibrant neighborhoods!
1. Asia Food Company
Location: 1579 E 38th St, Cleveland, OH 44114
I usually make a beeline for the sesame buns in the back, but got distracted by some tempura covered seaweed snacks that turned out to be very delicious.
While perusing through the fresh produce section, I was excited to see Asia Food Company carries king oyster mushrooms. I snagged the last pack for my brother because he has been looking for them to experiment making vegan scallops.
Whether you are an experienced cook, or an experienced frozen food aisle shopper, Asia Food Co. has plenty of variety to offer. Personally, I always go for the frozen dumplings and fresh kimchi for a quick meal.

2. Good Harvest Foods Market Inc.
Location: 3038 Payne Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114
Good Harvest Foods Market is a good resource for cooking supplies and dishware, especially if you are new to the area and need some kitchen supplies.
They also have all of your favorite staples in bulk. I picked up some tom yum paste that I like to mix into vegetable broth and eat with snap peas and mushrooms. And, speaking of mushroom, Good Harvest has a huge selection of dried mushrooms!
I couldn’t resist grabbing a red bean treat from the bakery section on my way out.

3. Kim's Oriental Food
Location: 3700 Superior Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114
Kim’s Oriental Food is the perfect grab-and-go spot in terms of its location on a major thoroughfare and its small interior.
That being said, do not let the size of the store fool you—Kim’s provides Cleveland with a large selection of Korean food and a lot to choose from for the food adventurous like myself. I picked up some seafood porridge, baked sweet potato crisps, and seasoned radishes to try for the first time.
I also bought some gochujang, a spicy fermented pepper paste I use frequently as a meat and vegetable marinade.

4. Park to Shop Supermarket
Location: 1580 E 30th St, Cleveland, OH 44114
Park to Shop Supermarket is located just around the corner from Mueller Lofts, so one day I decided to stop there to pick up some dinner ingredients. Though their hot pot selection was tempting, I decided on golden curry that I paired with some greens and rice.
I also stocked up on some of my favorite snacks for the weekend. I don’t think the matcha Kit Kats I brought home lasted very long! They were delicious.

5. Tink Holl
Location: 1735 E 36th St, Cleveland, OH 44114
Tink Holl is tucked away on East 36th Street, right next door to Szechuan Gourmet, which I've heard has a great lunch special.
Though unassuming from the outside, Tink Holl was bustling with shoppers. They have a huge selection of fresh fish and fresh vegetables.
I picked up some vegetables and rice noodles that I used to make soup. Rice noodles are a great, naturally gluten-free dinner option and are super easy to prepare.
