Polaroid Project: Anabelle in Tremont

Hi I'm Anabelle, and I am one of the OGs in Wagner Awning.

I'm originally from California, and I've spent the last few years exploring Cleveland. It's a pretty cool city! If you're a local, you have probably seen me with my dog Haley around Tremont.

1. Whiskey Island

Everyone knows about Edgewater, but Whiskey Island around the corner is where it's at for some sand volleyball! Organized recreational sports are huge here through Cleveland Plays and Mulberry's. There are a bunch of other organizers, restaurants, and breweries that host rec leagues, too.

2. Shaker Rocks

Climbing has finally gotten really popular here, and now there are a bunch of indoor gyms to climb! My favorites are Shaker Rocks for top roping in Shaker Heights and Nosotros Rock Climbing Gym for bouldering in Lakewood and Downtown Cleveland.

3. Mason's Creamery

Mason's Creamery has fun ice cream flavors that change pretty regularly. I recommend getting the waffle cone for a little surprise at the bottom. During the winters, it turns into a delicious ramen shop.

4. Cleveland Public Library

The Cleveland Public Library's Jefferson Branch is down the street and around the corner. It is usually my go to, but they're currently renovating. I borrow both books and ebooks from the CPL regularly. The Main Library downtown has a convenient drive-up window for book pick-up.

5. Cuyahoga Valley National Park

We live pretty close to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. My favorite spot within the park is the Brecksville section of the Buckeye Trail. With additional access to the Cleveland Metroparks, there are so many places for a run, bike, or hike.

6. Lincoln Park Pub

The Lincoln Park Pub is a solid local bar with fantastic Taco Tuesday tacos! They have a patio out back with lots of artwork from Tremont's Sign Guy. I'm sure you've seen his birds all around Tremont.

7. Cozumel

I love Cozumel Restaurant, and it reminds me of home! There are multiple locations, including  one in Independence, Lakewood, Brunswick, and Cleveland. Their margaritas and the burrito a la diabla are preemo.

8. Scranton Towpath

Haley and I are regulars on the Scranton Towpath. It's a quick ten minute walk from Wagner. It's getting pretty close to connecting New Philadelphia to Edgewater. I bike to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Independence using the Towpath.

9. North Union Farmers Market at Cleveland Clinic

Since I work at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, I'm at the North Union Farmers Market on the Crile Mall regularly on Wednesdays during the summer picking up lunch, produce, and flowers.
