As someone who is considered a “transplant” I was very unsure of where I would be living in Cleveland. Chris was able to help me find the perfect apartment and he even gave me a tour of the building before it opened. The day of move-in Joe was able to meet with me and give me a tour of the building. Everyone on the management team has been so nice to work with and very responsive! The building itself is gorgeous with a gym and a sky lounge included, as well as an indoor heated parking garage at a responsible price to protect your vehicle from the Cleveland winters. I can’t recommend The Lincoln enough, it has been a wonderful experience to live in such a great community!

The Lincoln is a beautiful apartment building with an excellent management company that cares a lot about the community not just within the building, but within the entire neighborhood. It was a pleasure to live there and I'd highly recommend it not just for amenities, nice finishes, and huge appliances, but also for the effort the management group makes to make it feel like a community.

The Lincoln is an amazing place to live. We lived there TWICE, in a one bedroom and a studio, for 3 years. Everyone on the SCA team is super responsive to general communication and maintenance requests. This location is perfect; close to work (I worked at MetroHealth) and is in a central location making it easy to get to downtown, the east side, and west side quickly. The surrounding area is very walkable and we loved the ability to walk into Tremont and to the tow path. We had dogs and the fellow dog owners were very respectful in picking up after themselves. We will miss our days at the Lincoln!

I have lived at The Tappan for a little over five years and absolutely loved it. The quality of the apartment and building, the location, and the attentiveness from the staff are top notch. This particular property was newly built when I moved in and features the delicious Leavened bakery on the ground floor, of which both were huge pluses for me when moving to Cleveland. I have only ever had to call maintenance one time in my five years where there was a leak in my roof from heavy rainfall upon first moving in, but it was immediately fixed and wasn't an issue for the rest of my time there.
I am sad to leave as I really don't think I will find another property or management team as good as SCA. If you're moving to the Cleveland area and want to live within city limits, I highly recommend looking into one of the SCA properties. If I ever move back to Cleveland, I know SCA is who I would choose without question.

The Tappan is a terrific place to live in if you are moving to Cleveland! I have so far been here for around 6 months, and I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of The Tappan community.
As for the building itself, it provides you with many benefits such as a gym, multiple shared spaces like the roof and the mini back garden, assigned parking spots, washing machines and driers (in all apartments), and other things that make your life easier. There is also a charming bakery on the ground floor. The Tappan also partners with local companies to provide discounted home food and laundry services (among other stuff).
Overall, this has been an ideal place for me and I definitely recommend it!

Big fan of this building! I moved here because I teach in Cleveland and wanted to live in Cleveland, not the suburbs. The building is great; brand new with lots of amenities like a gym and a bakery on the first floor. The owners hosted a "Giving Tree" this holiday season for kids living in the Merrick House. I was so moved; knowing I live in a place were people care about others. The community has hosted a number of socially distanced happy hours(grab and go) and a rooftop yoga session. I'm totally looking forward to the day when Covid doesn't rule the social interactions.

RUN, DO NOT WALK, TO RENT HERE! when i considered this place, i was surprised at how many consistently great reviews this management team had - something i hadn't seen much of in renting situations. i am here to confirm above and beyond that the SCA team is the absolute best group of people who make living here super easy for whatever you need. the studio space is perfect, the building is perfect, the location is perfect. if you're a walker you have easy city access, the towpath in your back pocket and dozens of restaurants/bars/shops just steps away. parking is great, beyond pet friendly, a coffee shop below you for those bad days where you just need a peanut butter cookie to get you through it. SCA is run by great people who stand for great stuff, i wouldn't want to be anywhere else!

years well spent at Wagner Awning! Moving to Cleveland cross-country, sight unseen, I chose to live at a Sustainable Community Associates (SCA) property based off the reviews and I couldn't be more thankful I found it. They have taken careful work to preserve the history and let it be part of the character, and the artifacts around the building are a nice nod to the past. The units are gorgeous, and a lot of thought was put into the design. Soft close cabinets, window sills, lots of nooks and crannies, and spacious bathrooms. Visitors were always impressed with how much storage my apartment had (utility closet, front hall closet, two bedroom closets).
SCA does an impeccable job at communicating building and neighborhood updates in real time, and it seemed like I never waited more than a few hours for a response from a real human being (big perk these days!). The maintenance team is kind, friendly, and efficient with their work and almost always addresses your requests within 24-48 hours. My heat went out my first Christmas Eve after a winter storm, and they responded right then and there. SCA puts on fun events all throughout the year, sometimes including spotlights on local businesses, with my favorite being Opus 216 performing a private show on the patio every summer! The building and space is maintained meticulously; regular landscaping services, window washing, speedy trash removal from each floor every day, and extra care to wash the floors during the snowy and salty winter days. Everyone in the community is nice and I never had a noisy neighbor in 4 years.
A couple other things that differentiates SCA is ZERO pet fees whatsoever (seriously, completely free and no restrictions) and an included, designated parking space in a gated lot next to the building. As for the neighborhood, the property is right between Tremont and Ohio City and you can easily walk to either which I loved to do. What everyone else says is true: go to Leavened Bakery in the other SCA building across the street (Tappan)!!! Friday pizza is a non-negotiable. You also get access to Tappan's gym and rooftop with views of the city. Wager Awning holds a special place in my heart as it was the perfect home for 4 years. It was bittersweet to leave and I will have nothing but wonderful things to say about Wagner, and the wonderful people who run SCA. I'm writing this from the kindness in my heart as it is thanks to everyone else on here who left raving reviews that I decided to live there and I hope this review inspires the next new Wagner neighbor!

I moved here in the middle of a pandemic with only pictures to go on. My friend, who did residency at the hospital I work at, told me about the Tremont neighborhood and said she lived here all through residency. I found the Wagner awning building (and the SCA website) online. I would have lived in any of the buildings, but this one had availability and I didn’t want to miss out. It’s pet friendly, my apartment is so spacious and the management goes out of their way to make it a wonderful living environment. Would not want to live anywhere else in Cleveland!

I loved living in this building!! Absolutely stunning unit, lofted ceilings, spacious bathroom, the appliances and cabinetry in the kitchen, the stacked washer/dryer, the FLOORS! Great location, who doesn’t want to be a stone’s throw away from the Tremont Taphouse? An animal lover’s dream! Many apartment buildings in the area have breed restrictions, weight limits, pet deposits and other fees, not here. My rescue pittie was right at home. We only left when we decided to do the whole homeowner thing.

My fiancé and I have lived at the Creamery for over 6 years now and I honestly don't have the right words to describe how much this apartment has become a special home to us. The staff is incredible. They're on top of everything and wonderful at communicating. Our maintenance guys are like friends. The location of the building is in the perfect spot. You can stay in town, hop on the highway in 2 minutes or get downtown in a breeze. We spend many weekends grabbing coffee at local spots or date nights at the many nearby restaurants. With it being an old warehouse, the walls are incredibly thick which makes each space nice and quiet. The rooftop is my favorite spot in the summer. It's so wonderful to have our individual garden plots and give myself a reason to see that amazing skyline every day. Having the dog park/bar right behind us is a really great option for anyone with a pup to let them run around and get their energy out. Most importantly, our neighbors have been the most incredible. We have made some really special relationships and when I think of our apartment, the best word that comes to mind is "community". If you have the chance to live in one of SCA's locations, don't hesitate. So much thought and care goes into these spaces, you could never regret it.

I love living at the Fairmont Creamery! Not only is the building beautiful and funky with a great rooftop, community events, covered parking, great neighbors, and a super dog friendly atmosphere! But I also I love these landlords and this team! I previously lived in one of the landlord’s old buildings that they sold. After two months living with a different landlord I contacted Josh and asked if I could move back into one of his buildings. The entire team is incredible and does a great job managing the building, keeping it safe, clean, and community oriented. I love living here for so many reasons: great building, amenities, neighborhood, and great neighbors, but what really sets it apart is the management team. I am so grateful to have landed here as a Cleveland transplant.

Among the best apartments I've lived in. Top of the line amenities such as in-unit washer/dryer, modern appliances, incredible rooftop views, and the same building as the Tremont Athletic Club (best gym in Cleveland IMO). The units are gorgeous (the building is a converted ice cream factory and a historic landmark) and the staff is great; friendly and responsive to any issues. There's a real community vibe.
The Creamery only has 30 units, so if you are fortunate enough to find an opening don't think, just take it.

The Fairmont Creamery had consistently exceeded my expectations in my 5 years of residence. As it is a restoration of a historic landmark, the Creamery is an absolutely beautiful place to live- the structure really does speak for itself. Josh and his staff are absolutely responsive (and very quick at that) to all of your needs and concerns. They are very communicative about any ongoing issues in the building and in the surrounding neighborhood, which made it a highly safe place to live. The Creamery certainly felt more like a community than an ordinary apartment complex as the neighbors were all very respectful of one another and of each other's properties. Also, note: I lived right ABOVE the gym and it was a non-issue. Also, loved that TAC was just a flight of stairs away (Nick and staff are awesome, too!).
